Incredibles 2 Headquarters Exhibition at Times Square, June 29 to July 29

MTR: Causeway Bay (Perfect to visit before or after your trip to Ocean Park)

Shopping isn't the only reason people keep coming back to Times Square in Causeway Bay. Another reason why it's a tourist favorite is due to the numerous various special exhibitions it organizes - and they're always for free, too.

This month, for instance, it's all about Incredibles 2, which boasts of a 4-meter-tall figure of Jack-Jack.

P.S. More information about the exhibit may be found here, and if you’re worried about not catching the exhibit in time, not to worry since Times Square has another fun exhibition slated for next month. From August 2 to September 2, visitors to Times Square will be treated to the sight of a massive battle scene between six-meter-tall figures of RX93 V Gundam versus MSN04 Sazabi

Lan Kwai Fong Beer & Music Fest, July 21 – 22
MTR: Central (Perfect to visit on your way back from The Peak or Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum

Here’s some good news for beer lovers: there’s no need to wait for Oktoberfest since Lan Kwai Fong (think of this as Hong Kong's party central) will be hosting its own beer and music festival in the weekend of July 21 - 22.

Jurassic World at Megabox Hong Kong, June 15 - September 2
(MTR: Kowloon Bay, free shuttle to Mega Box)

Having watched every movie in the Jurassic Park franchise, we at #teamhomebased aren't actually looking forward to having a real-life dinosaur park anytime soon. But one with giant-sized replicas, however - we would totally be down for that, and one mall from Hong Kong certainly delivers on this promise.

At their L5 Atrium, you can marvel at the sight of a 30-foot-tall Tyrannosaurus Rex model and replicas of other dinosaurs from the movie. They even have an interactive model of your favorite velociraptor Blue.

Last but not the least, if you head up to the mall's L9 Bazaar, you can have your photo taken with a six-foot-tall T-Rex replica...made entirely of Lego bricks. Ninety thousand of them, to be exact!

So what do you say? Just because you’re working from home doesn’t mean you’re immune to the occasional need for R&R. Work is still work even if it's something we love, so if your plans for booking a Hong Kong getaway have always taken a backseat for one reason or another - well, this summer of 2018 may finally see you taking off.
