As the
idea of working from home or Internet-based employment is still new to many
Filipinos, one of their major concerns has to do with how much they could earn
– and if their online income will be enough
to eke out a living.
While
there’s no definitive answer to this, we at #teamhomebased have tried our best
to come up with the information that can help you decide whether working from
home is for you or not.
How much do work-from-home virtual
assistants earn?

What’s the going rate for online
writers?
Article writers can expect a base rate of $3 to $5
(P160+ to P260+) per 500-word article although the subject you’ll write
about will be mostly dependent on what your client or employer requires.
Ghostwriters
for e-books can expect to earn approximately the same, with the going rate at $.7 or P37 for every 100 words.
The more
experienced writers can expect as much as $10
per 500-word article…or even more.
In some
cases, writers may also enjoy monthly bonuses depending on the average number of
views their articles “earn”. For every
1,000 views, you get an additional $1 per article.

How much are online call center specialists
paid?
Pre-screening
tests and interviews for online call center specialists are somewhat tougher compared
to the other jobs listed here. But on the other hand, there’s also the fact that
the average starting pay rate is higher than usual at P40,000 per month.
With current minimum wage laws pegged
at P500+ / day…
Home-based
employment definitely offers a more lucrative source of income. The only
question is – which job is ideal, and are you willing to invest time and other
resources to make sure you get hired?
